Is it time to experience flight? If you are in the area, why not schedule your discovery flight. The discovery flight is your first opportunity to fly an aircraft. You will be introduced to flight instructor, spend about 15 minutes being introduced to your Cessna Skyhawk aircraft, preflight and you are airborne. You will spend about 35 minutes of actual hands on flying. After landing, you will be presented with a logbook detailing your first flight hours. Best of all, if you decide to proceed, that time will count toward your total flight time.

Time and Hours

Each student decides what schedule of flight training will work best for their lifestyle. While some choose an accelerated schedule, others may choose to fly just once or twice weekly. At Ocean Aviation Flight Academy, you will pay as you go so no large outlay of funds is required. Your schedule can be as relaxed as you should be as you live your dream of learning to fly. The Federal Aviation Administration, under part 141 of the Federal Aviation Regulations has set a minimum time for an applicant to obtain the Private Pilot’s License at 35 hours of flight time but the FAA does not set a timeframe to accomplish those hours. Training can be as rapid or as relaxed as you would like it to be. Our goal is always to provide the most professional training available.

Training will be conducted under FAA Part 141. Ocean Aviation reserves the right to train student under part 61 should the student not maintain standards. Included in tuition is all dual and solo flight time, enrollment in the Cessna Pilot Center Private Pilot Course, Pre-Flight and Post Flight Briefings, Classroom training, sectional chart, and A6B and Plotter.
